Hope is Daffodil Bright a story of hope in war
What the Wind Saw : Short Stories from the Heart of Herfordshire

Discover the origins and work of the Women’s Voluntary Service, a fantastic organisation of which one in ten British women were members during the Second World War. Hear about how I found and used the sources for my book.

In this talk I will show you how I used local history to write fiction. Perhaps your group will be inspired to walk in the countryside, to learn more about the Heart of Hertfordshire and perhaps even imagine storied themselves?

Please contact me for talks and performances about being a singer and running and opera company, also on the life of Joyce Grenfell; the life of Edith Piaf; the life of Vera Lynn.

Previous speaking engagements include:

* Hertfordshire Book Festival May 2022 and May 2023

* Welwyn Garden City Library November 2022, May 2023, September 2023
